Breathe: Into the Shadows review
Abhishek Bachchan’s digital debut has been discussed ever since the announcement of Breath 2 has been announced. Anyway, due to the lockdown these days, the entire focus is on the OTT platform. The first season of Breath was well received by the audience.
This time due to the arrival of Abhishek Bachchan, everyone’s eyes were on the Breathe series.
Earlier, Madhavan was seen in Breath Season 1, the same Inspector Kabir Sawant (Amit Sadh) of Breath Season 1 shifted from Mumbai to Delhi this time.
Breathe Into the Shadows, has been streamed on Amazon Prime since July 10. This is the story of a psychiatrist and his family named Avinash Sabharwal (Abhishek Bachchan). Avinash Sabharwal lives in Delhi with his wife Abha (Nitya Menon) and 6-year-old daughter Siya (Ivana Kaur). One day Siya suddenly disappears and despite all the efforts, the police is unable to locate her.

Breathe: Into the Shadows Story
There is a psychiatrist named Avinash Sabarwal. One girl is Sia and wife is Abha Sabarwal. Aura is safe in a hotel. The whole family is laughing. The trouble begins when Siya disappears from a birthday party. After about a year, a gift from Kidnapper arrives. In it, Kidnapper reveals through an iPod that her baby is safe, but the Sabarwal family must be murdered to keep her alive.
Sia is a victim of juvenile diabetes, so she needs insulin every day. Kidnapper brings medicine for Sia in exchange for a murder. At the same time, Inspector Kabir Sawant also reaches Delhi from Mumbai. He has the responsibility to solve the case of these murders. Now does Avinash Sabarwal get his daughter rescued and Kabir Sawant can solve this case? To know this, you will have to watch the web series.
What The special in Breathe Into the Shadows
The special thing of everyone in the web series is that it does not bore you. After every episode you feel like watching the next episode. You can watch 12 episodes of 45 minutes. Director and writer Mayank Sharma has been able to tie the screen.
If you only watch the Hindi web series, then this is going to be new content for you. However, there may be some repetition for those watching World Cinema. Like- a few days of life and multiple personal disorder in exchange for a murder.
Amik Sadh’s comeback to the screen seems overwhelming. His return to the role of Kabir and acting is the life of the web series. Perhaps the mentally disturbed policeman’s attitude on his face automatically comes down. Sayami Kher’s bold look and acting looks different and fun with choked.
Background score has been very good in both the first season of Breath and this season. Music serves to create an atmosphere of suspense.
The story of Breathe Into the Shadows is not as simple as it seems. There are many big twists and turns in this series, which can turn your mind. Although the series begins as a mystery crime thriller, but later it takes the form of a psychological thriller, which is quite good.

Avinash Sabharwal Performance
The lead hero of Breathe 2 is Avinash Sabharwal i.e. Abhishek Bachchan. Avinash is an ordinary person and a psychiatrist by profession and is also very good in his work. Avinash grew up in Nainital and his life has not been very easy. He lost his parents in his childhood and after that he was raised in a boarding school. Now Avinash lives in Delhi with wife Abha Sabharwal (Nitya Menon) and daughter Siya (Ivana Kaur).

Every second matters. Every breath counts. They will do whatever it takes to find Siya. #BreatheIntoTheShadows Trailer Out, July 1 @primevideoin @breatheamazon @nithyamenen @bachchan @plabita.manu @hrishikesh0304 @saiyami @ivikramix @mayankvsharma @abundantiaent @bhavani.iyer @vikramtuli @bharathwaajsubbu
Abhishek Bachchan has played Avinash’s character very well. A father who loves his daughter very much, can do anything for her and her safety, and a psychiatrist who knows how to play with people’s minds. Abhishek’s character is not as settled as it seems and that is his specialty. They have also done this work well. Abhishek looked very good in the role of a simple but confused man.
Nitya Menon has done a great job in the role of Avinash’s wife Abha. A scared mother and wife who just want to save their daughter, but are also questioning their decision at every step. Although still not giving up. Nitya is very beautiful in this whole web series and her work is equally amazing.
Kabir Sawant Performance
Amit Sadh Breath has returned with his old character in Into the Shadows but must say that this time his work is better than before. This time Kabir Sawant’s character is slightly better and Amit has given a lot of life to him. At the same time, they also look quite handsome.

Every sin has a punishment and every story has a past! #BreatheIntoTheShadows Trailer Out, July 1 @primevideoin @breatheamazon @bachchan @nithyamenen @plabita.manu @hrishikesh0304 @saiyami @ivikramix @mayankvsharma @abundantiaent @bhavani.iyer @vikramtuli @bharathwaajsubbu
Which means that season 1, the angry policeman has become so hunky and cute in season 2. Laughs and feels good too. Angry is still there but never mind it will be seen. Her pairing with actress Plabita Borthakur is quite fresh and the chemistry of both of them seems pretty cute.
Apart from these three main lead characters, actors like Ivana Kaur, Saiyami Kher, Hrishikesh Joshi, Srikanth Verma, Resham Shrivardhan, Nijgalal Ravi, Shruti Bapna, Plabita Borthakur, Warin Rupani along with many other supporting roles have done amazing roles. This series has proved to be very good in terms of performance.
Breathe Into the Shadows Direction
Breathe Into the Shadows is directed by Mayank Sharma. He has also written this story. Bhavani Iyer, Arshad Sayed and Vikram Tuli have written this story with them. The most interesting thing about the series and its story and then comes the direction. Mayank Sharma has brought a fresh story to the audience. Which you may have heard before but the way it has been served and is praiseworthy.
Although the beginning of this series is loose, but after the first twist in the story, it connects you with you in such a way that you do not move from your place till the end. By the time you reach the end of the story, your beating also starts becoming faster, which is a sign of how well it has been made. Mayank shocks you from time to time through this series, which increases your interest in it more. Its background music is good and cinematography is also very good.
Direction and performance is good, it does not mean that there is no shortage in this series. At the beginning of the series you will find Breathe Into the Shadows quite loose. It may be that your interest in it becomes after watching a few episodes of the beginning. But boring episodes are also an important part of this series.
Where is the deficiency Breathe
Concept is different, the story is new and does not bore. But the problem is that sometimes you find it weak. Like how would a kidnapper give an iPod every time? Victim easily tampering with evidence. And there are many incidents that make the story weak.
Abhishek Bachchan has challenged himself a lot as an actor. However, the situation that his character is going through does not seem to bother him at that level. At the same time, Nitya Menon also looks very good at some places, and weak at some places. If both had gone one step further, the web series would have become bolder.
Camera and editing can be worked on. Somewhere, the screen needed to be black, but sometimes it seems over.
Conclusion: Breathe into the Shadows
Breath in to the Shadow is a good series, but not the best. If you are watching the first season with this in mind, you might be disappointed. Breath in to the shadow also has a lot of clichéd things, like the mention of Ravana in the story. Connecting his character to Ravana, which makes you laugh. Apart from this, this web series also falls in many places.
There also comes a time when director Mayank only pursues this series as a crime drama and leaves the family somewhere. But actors are definitely successful in keeping you engaged with their emotions. The way the story opens layer by layer, you get anxious to go a little bit more about it. Overall, you should see Breathe Into the Shadows once.
Breathe Into the Shadows, A lot of questions arise here, Like?
- Does Avinash really bleed?
- Who is Kidnapper and why is he speaking to kill people?
- And the biggest thing is that they all have a connection with Avinash and his family?
- Will Kabir Sawant solve this mystery?
